Spaghetti Supper and Auction

Hope Christian Academy’s world famous Spaghetti Supper and Auction is on Saturday, March 20. The dinner is an annual spring fund raiser for the school and is offered to everyone in the community on a free-will offering basis. There is no set admission charge. Donation envelopes for those who want receipts will be available. There will be lots of fun and delicious food. Guests will pick up a bidding number for the Silent Auction when they enter the building and then be able to write down their number on items for which they would like to bid.  Hundreds of Silent Auction items will be open for bidding starting at 4:00 p.m. The Spaghetti Supper opens from 4:30-7:30 p.m. Guests can ask to be seated anytime they want, and HCA students will serve each table. There will be giving envelopes and pens on the tables; donations can be given to the student servers or left in the giving box at the table by the dinner entrance. At 7:00 p.m. the Silent Auction will close and new this year, a Live Auction will begin. Not only do we have hundreds of interesting items for the Silent Auction, but special privileges and exciting rewards for the highest bidders at the Live Auction from 7:00-8:00 p.m.!

This year we will be celebrating the history of the Spaghetti Supper, by honoring Pastor Bill Johnson and Mrs. Linda Hermanson with a special presentation at 6:00. Linda Hermanson was school board chair 25 years ago and initially planned and promoted the first Spaghetti Supper. Pastor Bill has been a long time academy friend and has been especially active in cooking spaghetti sauce and “Pastor Bill’s Famous Fudge Sauce,” some of it for 20 years! (By the way, both quart size containers of Spaghetti Sauce & Meatballs and pint size containers of Pastor Bill’s Famous Fudge Sauce are available by preorder for $5/container. Call the school office for more information.)
