Randy Krussow is the HCA principal and lead teacher for grades 9-12.
He graduated from Bethel University, is licensed to teach and coach in
grades 7-12, and started at Hope Christian Academy in 1980. He and his
wife, Amy, and daughters reside in Cottage Grove. Mr. Krussow loves to
inspire students in applications of God's Word for daily living. He
loves music and often finds ways to lead students in singing or plays
silly songs on his guitar.
Ed McClain graduated from Anderson University, Indiana and started
at Hope Christian Academy in 1992. He is the licensed lead teacher for
grades 5-8. Mr. McClain has an aptitude for math and often finds himself
teaching Algebra and Geometry classes in the every-other year rotation.
Ed also serves as athletic director at HCA and resides in Hastings with
his wife, Beth, and children. Mr. McClain loves the outdoors and all of
God's creation. He has introduced HCA students to camping, canoeing,
and birding through enrichment classes in recent years.
Jody Ockwig began inspiring HCA students in 2002. She is a licensed
elementary teacher graduating from the University of Minnesota. Mrs.
Ockwig leads learning activities in the 1st - 4th grade classroom. She
and her husband, James, like tennis and reside in Eagan.
Susan Dickhausen is a licensed elementary teacher who has been
supervising the learning-to-read and reading-readiness program for
kindergarten and first grade students at Hope Christian Academy since
1991. Mrs. Dickhausen makes letters and numbers come to life each day
with fun, interactive music, stories, and activities. Sue graduated from
St. Paul Bible College (now Crown College). She is married to Doug and
has one son, Jonathon. Sue enjoys a variety of crafts in her classroom
at HCA and in her spare time at home.
Renée Gibbens is the friendly face or voice that most often greets
visitors when they call or come to Hope Christian Academy. She serves in
the office as administrative assistant. A graduate of Bethel
University, Renée, her husband Art, and their children call Cottage
Grove home. She loves her God, her family, and ministering to students
and families at Hope Christian Academy.
Todd Pankow directs the band and choir ensembles at HCA. Mr. Pankow
is a good example of serving the Lord with all your heart! He makes
music and ministry exciting and fun. Mr. Pankow offers private half-hour
band instrument and voice lessons during school hours or after and
before the regular school day. In the last 5 years, 5 of Mr. Pankow's
students have received musical scholarships for college.
Mrs. Mary Hale is a retired nurse, part-time piano instructor at
Hope Christian Academy, and full-time grandma and great-grandmother! She
lovingly offers private piano lessons to HCA students of all levels.
